"We had a delay getting into the house, due to a big group ahead of us. When I called A1 they were very helpful. (There was trash under beds, the group before us should have been charged for the mess they left) Once we were in we LOVED the house, the view was more than we could have hoped for. All 7 of us had our own place to sleep. Perfect house for a big group or 2 families! We all saved the information to come back with our families. Having private access to the beach was a great perk. And the beds were comfortable, not always the case with rental homes."

"Our family really loves this beachhouse. It is very homey and stairs right to the beach are everything. This is our second time staying here and everything about it is perfect for our three generation family trip. Always pretty clean and plenty of towels and toiletries. The hot tub, the fireplace, the games, everything is just perfect for a relaxing yet fun family vacation. It was a little challenging to use the washer and dryer when it was raining as water pooled up in front of them quite a bit but its totally understandable due to the landscape. Oh and the updated parking spots were very helpful!

"Such a fun house to stay in, lot of room and stairs right down to the beach. Perfect for the grandkids to play in the sand and I can sit on the deck and watch them. The kitchen is very well stocked with dishes and appliances, so feeding the group went smoothly. We didn't realize that we would need our logins to be able to get TV (there is no cable, just a smart TV) but we didn't really need the TV. It was a very fun week!!!"

"My family loved the vintage construction of the house, the numerous room, the double kitchens, the ability for the tweens to have a space. The view and beach access cannot be beat. The only down sides were the vehicle parking and minor cosmetic construction, i.e. the edge of the deck was coming off, and a door handle knob was inop. Small things."

Every house I had rented in the past had a terrible dog smell, and there were dog hairs everywhere. I loved having our own private beach access. All beds were pretty comfortable and the house was very clean. The views were priceless. We were there for 4 days and were very sad to leave. We really hope to get this house again for the next 4th of July Weekend. I highly recommend the Shoreline Chateau, you will not be disappointed!! "

"When booking our Lincoln City trip I spent a lot of time looking at the primary posted picture of this home. Could it really be this lovely? I had a big decision to make as this was one of two homes booked for a family reunion.

We arrived and were immediately happy. The owner used the quirkiness of this home and did delightful things with it. The upstairs area with the views, the bedrooms, and even a little bonus kitchen was great. All beds were comfortable. Bathrooms were clean and had plenty of towels. We did miss having shampoo and soap supplied. It whole house was clean and the kitchen well stocked with cooking, baking, and serving supplies.

The most wonderful things ... the deck, the view, and the private stairway to the ocean. We were on that deck and up and down the stairs all day long for three days!

"We and the grandkids had a great time. Imagine us 76 and 81 year olds with the 21, 17, and 13 year olds. It was great! We "oldsters" flew a kite given to him by his Mom over 30 years ago! The house was perfect for the kids upstairs and us on the main level. TV for gaming for them upstairs and area for them to "hang" out when inside at night and plenty of sleeping area. And our TV and lounging area on the main level was perfect. Had planned on more to join as there was more room but others couldn't make it unfortunately! The view was fantastic and the hot tub a great hit...especially with us. "

"This was our 40th year vacationing with family in Lincoln City and our 16th year at the Shoreline Chateau. We could not find a better place and would not think of renting anyplace else.
Everything about this home is top notch, from the location, the space, and all the amenities.
We had a problem with the water heater (no ones fault) and the response time to investigate and fix was under 30 minutes. The folks at A1 rental are so friendly and accommodating and provide First Class Service.
We love this place and treat it as if it was our own home.
I have traveled many places in the US and Europe and this is, by far, my favorite place to be!
Going back for year 17 in 2024 (already have booked)

"Everything about this house is perfect. The first thing we noticed when we walked in was no smell. Then we took a couple more steps and saw the amazing view. House is much bigger than it appears in the pictures. Easy walk to the beach. During low tide, we went to the black rocks and explored the tide pools. My family had such a great time. "We stayed at the beach for our moms 72nd birthday. This house was perfect for my family. My brother and his girlfriend had the downstairs bedroom. My parents had the upstairs ocean view. 7yr old had the room next to my parents and my husband and I enjoyed the back bedroom. The upstairs kitchenette was so convenient! 20 steps down to the beach was incredible! We had a blast playing cards at the dining room table with the ocean crashing next to us.
The only negatives were the loud and drunken renters next door, and one of our vehicles had a tire slashed. House was perfect for us. The kite shop Wind driven is a must! The owners are so friendly and helpful! We love mo's for chowder and bread. The 60s Cafe on roads end is our newest find and so dang good! "

Parking is a little tight, but we made it! Just a couple minutes drive to stores.. Roberts Bookshop in Lincoln City is amazing!! Jam-packed with “treasures” for everyone:) and after a day spent exploring Boiler Bay, Devils Churn, Devils Punchbowl or even just strolling on the beach, Gracie’s Sea-Hag in Depoe Bay is the place to stop and eat!;) and if the weather is agreeable, the deep sea fishing and whale watching tours in Depoe Bay are tops! Oh, and the Alder House glass-blowing shop just out of Lincoln City~ so very fascinating to watch the beautiful pieces that emerge from the roaring hot fire!! Would definitely recommend this place!!"

"I've rented several houses thru A-1 Beach Rentals. This is my least favorite. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, pots & pans, etc. The carpet throughout the house is old, very dirty from years of use & needs to be replaced. The courtyard leading up to the back door was dirty so it was hard not to track the dirt into the house. The laundry facilities are in the garage so that was a real inconvenience when doing laundry. The garage was 'tiny' & a very tight squeeze for a regular size SUV. No other parking available for this property. The last four steps to the beach have no railing which is dangerous & then there are two large rocks before you step on the beach. All in all - quite disappointing. "

The parking is tough on the oceanfront at some Roads End Beach Houses. One car in the garage and 2 cars outside parallel parked is max. They work hard to keep up with maintenance issues and also make sure amenities & supplies are the best.

"Loved the location! Beautiful view and easy accessibility to the beach. Going in the hot tub to view the sunset over the waves was awesome. The house itself was very funky - dried flowers and ivy on the walls, painted bricks, plastic lamps, very old kitchen cabinets, low ceilings. I would be willing to pay up for a nicer house. But the location can't be beat and the beds were comfortable and everything generally functional. Staff was helpful and responsive."

"We have stayed in this house twice now and every time it’s been amazing! Only downfall I would say is there’s not a lot of parking room but that’s not a huge concern! Beds were comfy and they added more seating room in the living room which was great! Definitely will stay here again in the future!"

"Price was right. Views and beach access was OUTSTANDING. House is dated, but furniture and bathrooms looked newer. There was a fragrance that we did not like and assuming it was to mmask the musty smell older beach homes have. Fully stocked kitchen but could use more kitchen towels and washcloths. Plenty of dish soap dishwasher tablets. Hot water held up for 4 adults and 4 children. Plenty of room for all of us. Wifi was very good, but no cell service. There is a land line. Quiet with easy access to beach. Kids had a blast! Adults enjoyed the deck chairs and the stunning ocean view. Parking tight, but manageable."

"My wife, 3 kids and I really enjoyed storm watching and hot tubing at this beautiful home. The beach was great for rock hunting, with sand not far away.
The home was much larger than I expected, with plenty of room for additional guests, although we kept it to ourselves. The kitchen was stocked very well, probably better than any other rental I have ever stayed at. We needed a propane refill for the BBQ and the property manager had a new tank delivered within an hour. Great service and a great home. We will visit again!"

"Just happened to time our stay with the Snowpocalypse in Portland, so we were glad to be at the beach!. House is a bit unique in florrplan and decor, but was well equipped (kitchen) and an awesome location right on the beach with steps to the sand. Parking is by far the biggest issue, but 3 cars work well. They told us to park at the casino if we had a 3rd car, but we just had 3. Nice weekend all in all. If our 4th couple had made it, the 4thbedroom was a walk-thru with one if the others, so keep that in mind if you need more than 3 bedrooms. "

"Our family of four had a great time at this quirky beachfront home. You can’t beat the location; just out the back door and down the steps to the beach. Full ocean view is beautiful, and there’s plenty of space for everyone. Kitchen is well stocked with plenty of tableware, pots/pans, small appliances, etc., but could’ve used some starter pantry items (salt/pepper, oil, etc)."

"Although the house is showing its age in places, it's a wonderful house for a large family or group of friends. It's right on the beach and has all the amenities. Unfortunately, at the time of our visit we found the downstairs bedroom unusable because of the mildew odor. Also, prior guests reported that the dryer didn't work and it appears it was still broken. The only other annoyance was the fact that it takes a Philadelphia lawyer to figure out how to work the TVs. We never did figure out how to watch TV upstairs. Better instructions are in order for non-techie people. "

All is good. We've tracked the mildew smell to a wet rag in the locked supply closet. So sorry that happened. We'll make sure to put some instructions with the TV. Your feedback is much appreciated. "Our family of 8 was very comfortable during our October stay and we had beautiful weather! Several people were able to work/do remote school and the wifi held up well. There was plenty of space for everyone and we had no complaints. If you stay here, don't miss the walk to the tide pools at the north end of the beach during low tide. Parking is tight. We fit a minivan near the street and a small car in the garage. I don't know if more than that could have fit. Hopefully we'll stay here again some day!"

"We had a great beach get away with immediate family to celebrate our 50th anniversary. The place was great; beach access couldn't be better. Grand kids had never been to an ocean beach before. They had a blast. The pandemic limited outside visits to places like the aquarium and light house but the tide pools were great. One morning we were able to walk around Roads End Point to find an enchanting rock garden on the other side. This is not an elegant high end place, but it is very comfortable and family friendly."

"The best smooth vaction we had. Stay the whole time at beatful house. Was well stock and clean. Karen work so hard to get us a date for place that had bedrooms downstairs for 2 we had with walkers. The hot tub was so inviting and clean. The checkin and check out was easy and stressless. "

"We loved this little Chateau - it had everything we needed to make the perfect OR beach getaway. We loved having back door access to the beach and amazing views from the comfort of our couch during the rainy parts of the day. Our kids loved the hot tub. Beds were comfy and there was enough room for our family of 5 kids. "

"We had a large party of 8 and it fit us very comfortably. The beds were very comfy and sheets were soooo soft I had a hard time getting out of bed each morning! The kitchen has every utensil and gadget you could need. Really came in handy when cooking for 8! The house was clean and proper. The views were amazing and the private beach access was nice. The hot tub was perfect! The dryer was broken and we were not aware of that before arrival so that was an inconvenience but they did offer to come get the clothes and dry them else where! We all agreed we will be back! "
